Military post attacked in Þemdinli
Peoples Defense Forces (HPG) guerrillas attacked the Yeþilova (Navberoja) military post in the district of Þemdinli on Thursday evening.
The howitzer attack on the post, which is located near Federal Kurdistan border, was carried out at around 20:00 local time. Artillery shootings were made in the region following the guerrilla action in which no reports have been received yet as to casualties.
One other attack was carried out in Yeniþehir, in the province of Diyarbakýr where reportedly one person opened fire to Þehitlik police station at around 20:40 local time.
Clashes broke out following the attack as police officers in the station responded to the armed attacker who later went into hiding in the neighborhood of Ben u Sen.
Turkish police launched an operation in the neighborhood after the clashes.
