Mine explosion leaves one child dead, one other wounded
Twelve year-old minor Þaban Aslan died and ten year-old minor Xemgin Altay was wounded as a result of a mine explosion in Çukurca district of Hakkari on Friday.
The two minors who were reportedly grazing their cattle in Yenimahalle neighborhood were seriously wounded after stepping on a mine near a military watch box in the neighborhood.
Wounded minor Þaban Aslans life couldnt be saved despite all efforts and immediate treatment at a health care center. The other wounded boy Engin Ataþ was referred to a hospital in Hakkari.
