Organized to introduce the paradigm of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan to the European people, the "Leadership Library" started its Swiss tour from Zurich on Saturday.
Today the library will open in Lucerne.
The Leader's Library, which actually began for the first time last year under Covid restrictions, but is now meeting Swiss people for the second time without so many restrictions.
Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan's books reflecting his paradigm on ecology, women and democracy, written in Imralı prison where he has been imprisoned severe isolation since 1999, are distributed to the people through the "Mobile Library". In addition, a German explanation of Abdullah Öcalan's 50 years of struggle is screened.
The library began its tour at Helvetiaplatz, and is also visited by Kurds living in Zurich throughout the day.
Speaking to ANF, Rojhelat Amed, Foreign Relations member of the Zurich Democratic Kurdish Community Center, said that they were happy because of the interest shown by Swiss people for the library.
Amed said that especially the Swiss young generation is interested in the ecological, women's free and democratic life model implemented in Rojava and created thanks to the ideas and paradigm of Abdullah Öcalan.
Swiss Democratic Kurdish Society (CDK-S) co-chair Selma Sürer said: “Until 4 April, our Leader's birthday, we will organize many events, both with the library, in which our Leader's paradigm is explained, and with panels, seminars and conferences we will organize in various cities.”
The Mobile Library will open in Lucerne on 28 March, Solothurn on 29 March, and Lausanne on 30 March.
