More detained in ongoing operations of political genocide

The AKP/Palace regime has enhanced the practices of political genocide against the Kurdish people, now additionally targeting the circles conducting a 'NO' campaign for the upcoming referendum.

More people have been detained in the increasingly ongoing operations of political genocide of the Turkish government against Kurdish, leftist and opponent circles.

AMED

Police forces raided the house of Co-mayor of Amed's Bismil district, Cemile Eminoğlu in the central Kayapınar district at 04:30 this morning. A detention warrant has been issued for the co-mayor who was not found home during the raid.

MERSİN

Anti-terror units of Mersin police directorate carried out raids on a number of houses in the early morning hours. At least 10 people including Pir News Agency Mersin Representative Diren Keser, Revolutionary Party Youth Organisation members and HDP Youth Assembly members were taken into custody in the operation.

The detainees are reported to be those participating in the 'NO' campaign for the referendum with the motto 'No to Presidential System, Youths are There'.

ISTANBUL

Anti-terror units of Istanbul police directorate conducted simultaneous house raids in Sultangazi district this morning. Reports that several people have been detained in the air-supported operation which was also joined by special operations teams and undercover policemen.
