Moscow meeting on Syria, attended by 14 constituents, ends

14 constituents including Rojava's Democratic Union Party ( PYD) participated in the meeting on Syria in Moscow.

The meeting in Moscow with the Syrian opposition has ended. Russian Foreign Minister had organized the meeting in Moscow after the talks in Astana, and 14 constituents including the PYD participated in the meeting.

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mariya Zaharova issued a short statement on the meeting during her weekly press statement. Zaharova spoke on the Syrian draft constitution prepared by Russia and said "We are imposing neither conditions for a resolution of the crisis nor their constitution on Syrians.”

Opposition groups will meet with Mikail Bangdanov, the Representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Africa and the Middle East.

PYD Co-chair Asya Abdullah, Kobanê Canton Co-president Enver Muslim and PYD Representative to France Dr. Xalit İsa had been invited to the meeting, but Abdullah and Muslim could not participate due to technical reasons. Dr. Xalit İsa and PYD Representative to Russia Abdusselam Ali represented the Rojava administration during the talks.

Dr. Xalit İsa spoke to ANF yesterday and said “We represent all of the colors of Syria. Negotiations that exclude us will not succeed.”
