In Adiyaman (Semsûr), one of the cities that suffered the most damage in the earthquake, search and rescue efforts continue, albeit insufficiently, and many mountain villages around the city cannot be reached.

The roads leading to the mountain villages of Celîkan, severely hit by heavy snowfall, could not be opened for transportation due to the bad weather. The villages have suffered hugely from the earthquake. A gendarmerie officer in Celîkan district said that supplies were thrown to the villages by helicopter, while the Crisis Center established by HDP, DBP and non-governmental organizations received information about some of the villages that have apparently been destroyed.
