Mural in Bogotá in solidarity with Kurds

The Kurdistan Solidarity Committee in Colombia has expressed its support for the resistance of the Kurdish people with a mural in Bogotá after Turkey's attacks in Northern and Eastern Syria.

After Turkey's attacks against the civilian population of the autonomous region of Northern and Eastern Syria, which violate international law, a mural has been painted in the Colombian capital Bogotá.

The Kurdistan Solidarity Committee Bogotá wanted to express its support for the resistance of the Kurdish people with the mural.

The action took place as part of the international initiative to defend the Rojava Revolution.

On 23 December, the Turkish state launched a new wave of military attacks against the population of Northern and Eastern Syria. Over the Christmas period, the infrastructure that supplies the population with energy and food, health facilities, construction companies, a printing press, commercial enterprises and security force checkpoints were bombed.

No government or state institution in the world has condemned or addressed Turkey's war crimes in any way. Nevertheless, people everywhere are in solidarity with the Kurdish people and their struggle for existence.

The mural in Bogotá reads: “Colombia supports the resistance of the Kurdish people and their mountains. Jin Jiyan Azadî” (Woman, Life, Freedom).
