The National Security Council (MGK) will be meeting to discuss and assess the latest developments in Kurdistan.
The meeting to be held on Thursday will be the last National Security Council meeting before the elections. The council’s meeting is to happen after proposal by BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) “not to give police and soldiers power to act as polling clerk”. An issue which also tackles the subject of “ballot box safety”.
The civil disobedience actions initiated by BDP and DTK (Democratic Society Congress) on March 24 will also be on the agenda of the council’s meeting. PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party) is also among the subjects to be discussed during the meeting which happens in a period of intense military operations and army deployment. (B.O.)
