Governor Office of Diyarbakýr has denied permission to the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP)’s application for the Newroz (Kurdish New Year) main event to be held on Sunday 18 March.

BDP co-chairs and deputies are reported to be holding a meeting on the subject closed to the press.
