As the Newroz fire will be lit for the 2629th time in Kurdistan and Turkey this year, the schedule for the events has been finalised by Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and Democratic Regions Party (DBP). Accordingly, Newroz will be welcomed in 35 centers between March 17 and 21 this year with the motto ‘We will definitely win'.

Newroz events of this year will kick off in Nusaybin on March 17 and end with mass rallies in Amed and Van on March 21.

Below is the schedule for Newroz events in Turkey and North Kurdistan for 2017:

17 March, Friday: Nusaybin

18 March, Saturday: İzmir, Bursa, Adana, Dersin, Antep, Mardin, Malatya, Bingöl, Doğubayazıt, Manisa, Kocaeli, Siirt.

19 March, Sunday: Istanbul, Mersin, Antalya, Urfa, Yüksekova, Batman, Konya, Karakoçan, Kars, Hatay, Kızıltepe.

20 March, Monday: Muş, Cizre, Adıyaman, Iğdır, Bitlis, Hakkari, Ağrı, Bingöl.

21 March, Tuesday: Amed and Van.

The Newroz events will also coincide with the referendum campaign and will be co-organized with the 'No' campaign.
