Lawyers for Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan once again have seen their request to visit their client turned down by the Turkish authorities. In what has become a monotonous and worrying refrain the authorities said the visit could not be granted because of problems with the boat that should take the lawyers to Imrali island. The last visit has been on 27 July. Since then lawyers have not been able to see Öcalan nor to get any information about his health and situation.
Kurds have been protesting against the isolation of Öcalan in many cities and abroad.
