Norwegian MP Seher Aydar Kurds issued a statement to condemn the attack in Paris targeting the Kurdish community there.
The statement said: "Kurds were killed in the heart of Europe, Paris. My thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by this horrendous attack. This is another bad day for the diaspora."
Aydar added: "Ten years ago, three women activists were killed in Paris. But Turkish intelligence was protected. There was never justice. We have never forgotten.
Today, Kurdish activists were again targeted. While several European countries have been busy criminalizing Kurds and appeasing Erdogan, Kurds have been under constant fascist attack. We have spoken out, we have warned and we have tried to explain."
Aydar continued: "I'm angry, I'm sad, but for our comrades: We will never let them silence us to death. Because today I am not just a Norwegian representative. I am also a Kurd in the diaspora, just like those who were killed."
Aydar said: "Freedom of expression and our existence have had great costs. The long arm of the states attacks whatever they can. Everyone should know that Turkey and Iran know no borders when it comes to Kurds. Neither should solidarity.
I don't know who held the gun. But I know what the Turkish regime is capable of."
