Official authorities in Malatya say 1,386 people have lost their lives in the earthquake

Official authorities in Malatya reported that 1,386 people have lost their lives, 6,444 people have been injured and 1,154 buildings have been destroyed in the city as a result of the earthquake.

The number of people who lost their lives in Kurdistan, Turkey and Syria is over 41,000.

Official authorities in Malatya (Meletî) reported that 1,386 people lost their lives and 6,444 people were injured in the city, as a result of the 7.8 and 7.7 magnitude earthquakes in Maraş.

In Malatya 1,154 buildings collapsed, while 7,129 were damaged.

The authorities have announced that the number of people who lost their lives in the Maraş-centered earthquakes has officially increased to 35,418 and the number of injured to 105,505.
