For the 4 week in a row lawyers for PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan have been denied their weekly meeting with their client. The meeting this week have been denied because of bad weather condition.

Since July 27, 2001 applications by the lawyers have been rejected using various excuses such as "bad weather, no boat available to Imralý Island". This is the eighth applications by the lawyers to be denied. The last visit with Ocalan was at the end of July.

This latest rejection comes a couple of days after Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-Chairs Ahmet Türk and Aysel Tuðluk and Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Group Chairman Selahattin Demirtas had made a written application to the Ministry of Justice to see the PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali prison.
