One killed as pro-Hezbollah groups attack protestors in Amed – FLASH
Police forces and pro-Hezbollah groups have opened fire on the people who took to the streets in Amed today in solidarity with the Kobanê resistance and in protest against the ongoing attacks of ISIS gangs on the besieged town in West Kurdistan, Rojava.
Almost all streets in the main Kurdish city have turned to a battlefield today as police forces brutally intervened and attacked the people joining mass demos for Kobanê.
One person was killed and many others were wounded after pro-Hezbollah groups opened fire on demonstrators in the Bağlar district and in the Hançepek neighborhood of Sur district.
The armed attack in the Şeyh Şamil neighborhood of Bağlar has left 10 people wounded, including Gele Kürdistan TV correspondent Rojhat Doğru and three children.
Mahmut Enez, (55), from Derik district of Mardin, who was seriously wounded in the conflict in Sur district lost his life while being transferred to hospital in ambulance. The body of Enez is being held in the morgue of the private Veni Vidi Hospital.
