An HDP delegation has exchanged views with the European Greens on the still unimplemented ruling of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) on the release of Selahattin Demirtaş.

HDP Co-chair Mithat Sancar, Vice Chair of the parliamentary group Saruhan Oluç and Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Feleknas Uca, as well as Evelyne Huytebroeck as Chairperson of the European Greens, Sergey Lagodinsky of the Greens/EFA in the European Parliament and others participated in the online meeting.

Sancar stressed in the conversation that the EU and Germany bear responsibility for the unlawful actions of the AKP government against the HDP. The European Greens expressed their solidarity with the HDP and the entire opposition in Turkey and stated that they will follow the further proceedings regarding the ECtHR ruling on Demirtaş.
