YPG Press Centre said in a written statement that the Kobanê resistance to the occupation attempt of ISIS gangs which has entered the phase of victory continued on the 154th day.

Remarking that offensives continued as part of the operation to liberate Kobanê, the Press Centre said that YPG/YPJ fighters carried out an operation to liberate the village of Xweydanê to the east of Kobanê yesterday evening, as a result of which the village was cleansed of ISIS groups which were inflicted severe losses in clashes. 11 members of the gangs were killed and corpses of 5 as well as munitions were seized, it added.

YPG Press Centre reported that the village of Cibnê in west Kobanê was also liberated as a result of an operation targeting the village occupied by the gangs. The number of casualties on ISIS side couldn't be verified, the statement said, adding that 3 heavy duty machines belonging to the gangs were seized between the villages of Cibnê and Beyadê.

The statement said that an operation by YPG/YPJ fighters against the ISIS groups deployed in Girê Sêvê area in south Kobanê left 13 members of the ISIS dead, while one other was captured alive with his arms.

YPG Press Centre added that 1 fighter of the Defense Units was martyred putting up a brave fight in the operations conducted in the last 24 hours.

According to the statement, 8 gang members were killed in an offensive in which YPG/YPJ forces targeted the ISIS groups near the areas of Xerîta in Hasekê.

YPG Press Centre said that Defense Units destroyed a military vehicle of ISIS in an attack against the gang groups near the Tiwêna village in Hasekê last night. The gang groups that attempted to access the scene for intervention after the attack were also hit, as a result of which 5 ISIS members were killed and one other was wounded.
