Police and special operation teams raided the house of Peace Mothers Initiative activist Fatma Deniz in Şırnak's Silopi district late Monday evening.

Police seized Deniz's computer, mobile phone and flash drives and took her into custody following a detailed search in Deniz's and her neighbors' houses.

Deniz was taken to Silopi police directorate while the reason for the operation isn't known yet.
