People attacked in Mardin for celebrating HDP result

At least 10 people taken into custody in Kiziltepe and Nusaybin

Thousands of people who took to the street in Mardin on Sunday night to celebrate the HDP overcoming of the threshold in the 24 June elections, where attacked by police and more than 10 people were taken into custody. 

The same happened in Kiziltepe and Nusaybin where people were attacked by police with tanks. 
Police drove a tank on the car convoy the people had made to celebrate in Nusaybin and took 7 people into custody, included a 13 years old child. 

Police forced people to get off the cars and begun insulted them. There is no news as to where the detained people have been taken to.

Police attacked the masses with TOMA saying that slogans lilke 'Bijî Serok Apo' ('Long Live President Apo') were chanted during the celebrations in Kızıltepe Freedom Square. 

At least three people were taken into custody but the number may be higher, said local sources.

It was also learned that the detained people were taken to the central gendarmerie station where they were force to lay on their backs. Sources said that shouting could be heard from outside, coming from the police station.
