The Operation Wrath of Euphrates continues successfully on three fronts. The fighters on the third front that joined the operation from Mekmen have advanced 20 kilometers in 3 days. After the Çewisê village was liberated, they headed towards Sebah al-Xêr village, 70 km from Raqqa and has strategic importance for ISIS gangs. After the fighters took total control of the village, the people who used to live in Sebah al-Xêr village have returned to their homes.
As the villagers returned, they came across the Wrath of Euphrates Action Room fighters.
A woman named Şayma from the village spoke of her feelings as follows: “Whenever we didn’t wear the black clothes, the gangs were cruel to us and they threw us into the dungeons. We were paralyzed with fear, living a life of dungeon in our homes.”
“YOU MADE TODAY LIKE EID FOR US”
One of the village elders turned to the fighters in melancholy when he saw them and said to them: “We were like dead up to now, where have you been? We have been waiting for you for years. God help you. They were very cruel to us. Our only hope was the SDF and the SDF has made today like Eid for us.”
One of the villagers said: “The SDF liberated us. ISIS was horrible. Whatever evil you can imagine, ISIS had it. We were waiting for you. I listened to the news, they always said, SDF has taken such and such village, they are advancing strongly. Nobody was comfortable living here, they shut it down whenever anybody did anything. Today is Eid for us, and we will celebrate.”
A villager saw ANF cameras, and sent greetings to his family and teachers first, then turned to the children and villagers and said: “Laugh and be merry, for today is our Eid. I escaped them and I ran, but my identity was left with them.”
A woman clapping her hands with great enthusiasm told the fighters: “This clapping is for you. I am very happy you are here.”
