Thousands of people from North Kurdistan have surpassed the blockade by Turkish police and military forces at border and crossed into Kobanê through the Mürşitpınar border gate and a mined area near the village of Etmanik.
According to the reports of an ANF correspondent at the border, thousands of people, including representatives of non-governmental organizations, youths, elders and women, were welcomed by the people and YPG/YPJ (People's/Women's Protection Units) in the town of Kobanê which has been witnessing intensified attacks by inhuman gangs calling themselves the Islamic State.
The meeting of the people from two sides of the border witnessed emotional scenes as they embraced each other in tears.
"Bijî Serok Apo"[Long live Leader Apo] and "Bijî Berxwedana Kobanê" [Long live the Kobanê resistance] were the slogans mostly chanted during the meeting which continued with one minute's silence for the fallen fighters of the YPG/YPJ, and the reading of ‘Çerxa Şoreşe’ anthem.
The meeting of North Kurdistan people and YPG/YPJ fighters is continuing as more people are crossing the border into Kobanê.
