Underlining that violence never produced any solution in the Kurdish question, PJAK (Party of Free Life in Kurdistan) has called on Iran to stop the current military operation.
In a statement the Kurdish guerrillas said should Iran agree to stop the current operation, PJAK would declare a new truce in order to allow all parties to search for a solution through dialogue.
The statement adds that should Iran decide to continue with the operation then it would bear full responsibility for the consequences of their choice.
The statement also adds that in this last period there has been some kind of mediator (the statement does not clarify the nature of this mediator) between the two parts. The last message to the mediator from PJAK has been one of offering a truce should Iran stop the current aggression.
