PKK and PAJK prisoners call on Prime Minister to resign
In a statement on behalf of all Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and Kurdistan Women’s Liberation Party (PAJK) prisoners in Turkey, Deniz Kaya remarked that prisoners in Turkey are facing the most dangerous and dirty war concept so far and held the AKP government and the Minister of Justice responsible for the savagery in Urfa Prison and probable massacres in other prisons.
Kaya called attention to poor prison conditions and underlined that “The prisons’ reality in Turkey is the reality of leaving the society and especially the Kurdish people without honor, putting them under isolation and submission.”
AKP has been the most fascistic government of the Turkish state in the face of the 30 year-old resistance of the Kurdish movement, said Kaya and called attention to pressures, detentions and arrests imposed on Kurdish people against all kinds of their democratic rights, social demands and opposition.
Kaya noted that the government of the ruling AKP has turned Turkey to a half-closed prison by arresting more and more people and building new prisons every day instead of seeking a solution to the Kurdish problem.
Kaya underlined that; “Turkish prisons which house over ten thousand Kurdish politicians and thousands of ordinary prisoners have been effective as savagery camps of the AKP government. All humane and democratic demands have been ignored and considerable unlawfulness and right abuses have been practiced in Turkish prisons which have gone into the disgraceful page of the history as Nazi camps of the Turkish state.”
Remarking that the AKP government insists on a deadlock in the Kurdish problem as well as subjecting the society to thought captivity, Kaya said that the people of Turkey have been imposed either inhumane methods or mass slaughters. Referring to the fact that the victims of the deadly fire in Urfa Prison were all Kurdish prisoners, Kaya underlined that this fact is a part of a deliberate and planned concept and a rehearsal of potential slaughters in prisons.
“We PKK and PAJK prisoners announce that we will not remain silent in this process and we call on all democratic mass organizations, patriotic Kurdish people and all others defending humanity honor to calling the perpetrators of this savagery to account”, underlined Kaya.
The statement by PKK and PAJK prisoners ended condemning the AKP government for giving way to the savagery in Urfa Prison and calling for the resignation of the prime minister and the minister of justice.
