PM Erdoðan asks rights for all... except Kurds

Speaking at the opening of the World Economic Forum in Istanbul, Prime Minister Erdoðan claimed that Turkey’s economic success would set an example for all countries.

Erdoðan put emphasis on the importance of stability and security in Turkey and the region of the Middle East and claimed that the AKP government made significant reforms in many areas and has specifically avoided hiding anything from the people.

Erdoðan, regardless of the Roboski massacre and demand of the Kurdish people, underlined that; “Inner conscience should also become globalized now. We demand the consideration of all peoples’ demands. Women and children in Palestine are being killed with chemical bombs and subjected to open air imprisonment.”

Erdoðan however didn’t mention the alleged usage of prohibited cluster and chemical bombs and poisonous gas in chemical attacks of the Turkish army against guerrillas, killing over 470 guerrillas in the last 20 years.

Erdoðan reminded of Turkey’s warning to Arab countries for paying attention to the demands of peoples and claimed that Turkey didn’t have any intention to intervene in the internal affairs of Syria.

“We wanted to share our experiences with the governors of Arab countries. We want to call the world public opinion’s attention to this region because of the fact that inner conscience should also become globalized now as the world is turning into a global village”, added Erdoðan.
