Police detain 49 people in Amed, Dersim, Batman, Şırnak, Adana, Istanbul and Antalya

At least 49 people were detained in home raids by the Turkish police in Amed, Batman, Dersim, Şırnak, Adana, Istanbul and Antalya.
Police raided several houses in Adana, Şırnak and Dersim simultaneously as part of the political genocide operation carried out by the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
At least 20 people, including the leaders of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), were detained in the raids in these three cities.
Those detained on the allegation of "being a member of a terrorist organization" are being held in Adana Provincial Police Department.
The names of some of the detainees are as follows: HDP Adana Provincial Organization director Mehmet Yaşık, HDP Seyhan District Organization director Dindar Aksu, Çukurova TUAYDER director Mehmet Tutuş, Cigergun Güven, Hasan Kocaman and Halil Kocaman.
In addition, within the scope of an investigation carried out by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 34 people were detained.
As part of the investigation, 29 people were detained in house raids in Amed center, Kulp and Silvan districts, as well as Istanbul, Batman and Antalya.
The names of these people whose reasons for detention have not been disclosed are as follows:
former co-chair of Batman Municipality Sabri Özdemir, HDP Amed Provincial Organization former co-chair Cabbar Leygara, HDP Amed Provincial deputy co-chair Irfan Soner, provincial executives Arif Bulut, Newroz Reşitoğlu and Ramazan Kızıltepe, HDP Bağlar former district co-chair Mehmet Atlıhan, Yenişehir Municipality council members Mehmet Alaattin Zuğurli and Yusuf Sökmen, Şahin Tanrıverdi, 81-year-old Kadri Atlı.
