Police detain eight HDP and DBP politicians in Istanbul
As part of the new political genocide operations carried out in the night and morning, 8 people, including HDP district co-chairs and DBP council members, have been detained in Istanbul.
Simultaneous raids were carried out in many neighbourhood of Istanbul last night as part of the political genocide operation ordered by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Kağıthane District co-chairs Ayhan Yıldız, Behiye Demir, Beşiktaş District co-chair Remziye Bor, Istanbul Provincial executives Fatmanur Günbeyi, Danışman Turgay, Esenyurt District Organization members Hatice Yıldız, Baran Sümbül and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) council member Eşref Yaşar were taken into custody.
It was learned that 15 people had been issued with an arrest warrant.
