Turkish police detained many people, including a 90 percent disabled man, during house raids in many cities of Northern Kurdistan.
The house of Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad- TJA) activist Hacire Tanırgan in Kızıltepe was raided in the morning.
The police carried out a violent search and detained Tanırgan. An investigation carried out by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office was cited as the reason for the detention.
Raids were also carried out in houses in Van. HDP Van Youth Assembly members Arjin Tuncer, Ferhat Azan, Rojin Varhan and 90 percent disable Mehmet Şerif Demirağaç were detained.
HDP Youth Assembly members Diyar Sincar and Nurullah Özgün, Şehmus Doku and Mazlum Kardaş were detained as a result of house raids in Amed. The reason for the detention was not disclosed.
