The police went to the house of HDP Diyarbakır MP Semra Güzel, who was stripped of her parliamentary immunity this week.
Police went to the house of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır MP, Semra Güzel, whose immunity was lifted with the decision taken by the General Assembly on 1 March, after two separate reports prepared against her were sent to Parliament.
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which took action after Güzel was stripped of her parliamentary immunity, launched an investigation against Güzel on Friday on the allegation of "membership of a terrorist organization".
Immediately after the launch of the investigation, the police went to Güzel's house in Diyarbakır. It was learned that Güzel was not found at home, located in the central borough of Kayapınar in the city.
Upon receiving the information that the police had gone to Güzel's address, the party's lawyers also went there.
Police officers left the house after confirming that Güzel was not at home.
