House raids were carried out by Turkish police in Mersin on Saturday morning.

Following the searches in the houses, Çukurova Association for Assistance with Detainees and Convict Families (Çukurova TUAY-DER) co-chair Ergin Altuntaş, Nurettin Özdemir, Hava Tekin Ölmez, Selahattin Baran and a person, whose name has not been established, were taken into custody.

The five people arrested were taken to Mersin Police Department.
