Police target ESP members and executives, many detained - NEW

The Turkish regime's political genocide operations continue unabated.

Police carried out simultaneous raids on several addresses in the morning targeting Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) members and executives.

During the raids, Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK) co-spokesperson Sedat Şenoğlu, ESP Party Assembly (PM) members Çiçek Otlu, Mustafa Naci Toper, Volkan Uyar, Selver Orman and İlke Başak Baydar, party members Yücel Karadağ, Ozan Özgenler, Ozancan Sarı and Ilhan Aslan were taken into custody.

It was also learned that Etkin News Agency (ETHA) reporter Serdal Işık was taken into custody but for a different investigation.

Those detained were taken to the Istanbul Police Department Anti-Terror Branch.
