Police terror against HDP members in Mersin

Many HDP members have been detained in Mersin province on Tuesday.

The AKP-MHP delegation continues its attacks against the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) that has a key role in June 24 elections in Turkey.

In the central Akdeniz district of southern province of Mersin, police forces carried out raids on several houses in many houses Tuesday morning as part of increasingly ongoing political genocide operations ahead of elections. Many people including HDP members and election workers have been taken into custody in the operation.

Among the detainees are HDP provincial coordination technical officer Hasan Cide, Akdeniz Municipality’s HDP council member Faik Eroğlu and Çilek neighborhood’s HDP organisation member Bahri Buğday.

The detainees were taken to provincial security directorate.
