When trainee lawyer Ö.I. asked to see his client, Baver Yalçiner, who had been taken into custody in Amed and tortured, he was told by police 'I will smash your head on the window'.
Lawyer Berivan Turan said that his client, Baver Yalçıner, was taken into custody and tortured by the Smuggling and Organized Crimes (KOM) team in Amed for a reason not specified on Wednesday morning.
Turan stated that Yalçiner was harassed from the moment he was taken into custody and put into the police vehicle.
Turan asked to see her client but was denied and had to wait for four hours. She then left trainee lawyer to insist, but instead the lawyer said he was threatened by a police officer.
Turan stated that the police did not want them to see their client because of the torture he had been subjected to.
