Reiterating what has been said by some prominent AKP (Justice and Development Party) members in the past days, president Abdullah Gül today called the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) and Labor, Democracy and Freedom Block deputies to come to parliament to solve problems. "The parliament - said Gül - is the natural place to solve all problems. You cannot solve problems outside of the General Assembly", added the president calling on the Block to renounce to the parliament boycott stance the group has decided earlier in the week.
President Gül also stressed that despite the controversial decisions of the past days (specifically that of the Election Board excluding Hatip Dicle from parliament) there is a possibility to come to parliament and discuss important changes in law. The president added that "the parliament, and the parliament only, is the place where reforms can be discussed and decided". Gül also stressed that there is a possibility to discuss about the new Constitution in parliament. He also added that the new Constitution could be discussed and brought to life quickly if everyone plays its role.
Gül ended his message with a direct call to the Block deputies to "come to the parliament and discuss the problems in the assembly".
