Political prisoner Kasým Demir (56) lost his life on Friday morning short after he was referred to a hospital in Ýzmir for treatment.

Prisoner Demir who had been referred from Muþ E Type Prison to Diyarbakýr D Type Prison was taken to a hospital in Ýzmir to receive treatment for his earlier known chronic heart disease, hypertension, articular rheumatism and hepatitis b. Demir lost his life on Friday morning.

Demir’s brother Yener Demir who came to the hospital after his brother’s death told that his brother was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1993 and served his sentence in Ýzmir, Bursa, Muþ, Van and Diyarbakýr prisons so far.
