Protests continue in Iran

Protests in Iran are growing.

Demonstrations in Iran that first started in the city of Isfahan, have spread to other cities.

People are protesting against the high cost of living, corruption, cuts in power and water services, and political and social pressure. With cuts to power and water services, daily life has become very difficult. Authorities allocate huge budgets for war, while failing to develop serious precautions to combat economic, environmental or social issues.

The demonstrations led by tradesmen and those engaged in border trade were later supported by taxi drivers and workers.

Iranian women are also joining the demonstrations in large numbers.

In the face of the growing demonstrations in Karaj, Iranian Pasdaran forces (Revolutionary Guards) have declared a curfew. Reports suggest that 20 demonstrators were taken into custody.
