Dicle University Rector Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Jale Saraç was recently detained and suspended for alleged links to the Gülen Movement within the scope of the investigations into the coup attempt of July 15. She was today arrested by a court on charges of involvement in the failed coup.
During the latest rector election, Saraç was appointed to the post by the AKP although she ranked the third.
Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Jale Saraç had previously come to agenda with irregular tenders she gave to AKP member Galip Ensarioğlu.
