Detentions and raids targeting the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) are going on all over Turkey. This morning in Ümraniye (Istanbul) seven people have been taken into custody. It is understood that raids have been carried out in the BDP Istanbul Political Academy and Hope Cultural Center as well as in houses and the main BDP office of the area.

At least 100 people have been taken into custody in the past 24 hours.

In Istanbul at least 70 people (included those arrested today) and in Urfa another 24. People have been detained in Siirt (seven kids have actually been reminded in custody).

In the past six months the number of arrested people has reached 4500. Those remanded in custody have been 1600.
