Police operations against Kurdish citizens continue before the march to the village of Amara, Kurdistan Workers Party (BDP) leader Abdullah Öcalans place of birth, which is organized for 4 April, Öcalans birthday.
Four people were taken into custody in Süphan neighborhood in Van as a result of police raid in the houses of MEYA-DER Van Branch Chair Ýbrahim Alkan and M. Garip Peyza. Houses were searched in detail during the raids which ended up with the detention of Alkan, his diabetic patient son, Peyza and another person in his house. As two people have been released, two others are still remanded in custody.
On the other hand, ten vehicles were chained by police in Mersin before departing to the village of Amara.
