The attacks of the invading Turkish state on southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq) and Iraq continue uninterrupted. The Turkish state has built dozens of military bases and displays its own flag in the Kurdistan Region.
Iraqi political observer Riyaz Wehil spoke to Roj news about the Turkish aggression in the region and said that raising the Turkish flag on Iraqi territory is a dangerous sign and a serious violation of Iraqi sovereignty. Wehil remarked that the Turkish state officially wants the northern part of Iraq (Kurdistan Region) and the purpose of Turkish military forces on Iraqi soil is to control northern Iraq.
“The attacks carried out by the Turkish state and raising the Turkish flag on Iraqi territory are clear signs that Turkish forces are seeking to invade the country,” Wehil added.
