SDF delegation attends session in the French Parliament

A SDF delegation attended the session in the French Parliament. The delegation discussed many issues related to the Middle East, the fight against terrorism, the Syrian crisis and the Northern and Eastern Syrian Revolution.

A committee from the French Parliament welcomed a Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) delegation from Northern and Eastern Syria. The delegation consists of YPJ Spokesperson Rûksan Mihemed and YPG Spokesperson Nûrî Mehmud. In addition, Xalid Îsa, the French Representative of the Autonomous Administration, accompanied the delegation.

The SDF shared this information in a post on its website in which it wrote that many parliamentarians welcomed the delegation in the French Parliament. Among them were Sarah Tanzli from the Unity Party (President Macron's Party), co-chair of the Kurdish Research Group, member of the Society, Environment and People's Union Party Frederick Matteo, vice-president of the Kurdish Studies Group and member of the Armed Forces and National Defense Committee, Environment and Development Party MP Mary Punchon.

Developments in the Middle East and North and East Syria discussed

The SDF delegation listened to the two-hour debate in the French Parliament. In the session, many issues related to the Middle East, the fight against ISIS, the initiatives of the regional states regarding the revival of terrorism, the Syrian crisis, the situation in Northern and Eastern Syria. The difficulties faced by the region, and the crimes committed in Afrin by the Turkish state and its mercenaries were discussed.

The delegation also discussed the details of the women-led revolution in Northern and Eastern Syria, their involvement in the administration, and the issue of military forces.

The delegation talked about the YPJ's struggle against ISIS and pointed out all the sacrifices made by the YPJ. The operations carried out by the Turkish state and targeting the YPJ commanders were also discussed.
