The first day of the long march organized by youth organizations demanding freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan in Paris, ended on Saturday evening. Today the second day of the march.
The first day of the two-day long march organized by Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (TCŞ) and Jinên Ciwan ên Têkoşer (TekoJIN) to demand freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan was completed in the suburb of Drancy in Paris.
Today the march will start from the Ahmet Kaya Cultural Center in Paris and will end at the National.
Drawing attention to the isolation imposed on Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and the invasion attacks carried out by the Turkish state throughout the march, the young activists started their protests from the Drancy Kurdish Cultural Center and ended in Stalingrad square.
TCŞ member Serhad Roni, representing the TCŞ and TekoJIN movements, said that they will be in the streets to protest the attacks carried out by the invading Turkish state, the betrayal of the KDP and the isolation policy applied to Öcalan.
Roni said: “While the reality of war in the four parts of Kurdistan has come to light again, hegemonic powers are imposing assimilation on the Kurdish people living in the diaspora. Considering all these attacks and invasion attempts, the attitude that the youth and our people should take is clear. Our people, with great self-sacrifice and Apoist spirit, should participate in every action and activity organised by young people, who are always at the forefront. The guerrillas, waging a relentless war on our people, draw their strength and morale from the unity of our people.”
Roni continued: “We call on our people to get together and struggle against the Turkish attacks.”
