Seven police officers wounded in Diyarbakýr

Seven police officers were wounded during an explosion which occurred during the passing of a police vehicle on Silvan road, close to Dicle University in Diyarbakýr. One other wounded, claimed to be involved in the explosion, has reportedly been captured alive.

While the explosion greatly damaged the police vehicle, wounded police officers have been taken to the emergency services of Faculty of Medicine of Dicle University.

In addition to the police, special operations teams and soldier troops sent to the region, a military operation has been launched around the Tigris River with the support of helicopters.

While the Silvan way has been closed to traffic, extraordinary measures have been taken at the scene.

A Kurdish guerrilla is claimed to have been captured alive during the clash which broke out by the river after the action.
