In commemoration of the victims of the Shengal genocide of 3 August 2014, Democratic Kurdish Society Centre in Edinburgh organised an event titled "The Shengal Genocide of 3rd August - an attempt to darken Mesopotamia".

During the event which was attended by many Kurds and friends of the Kurdish people, a film was presented showing information on the Êzidîs and details on the 3 August Shengal genocide.

At the end of the event, the documentation ‘Goren Be Ax - Graves without earth’ was presented.
