At least 65 people have been taken into custody yesterday and last night in Cizre during and after Newroz celebrations. It was violence from the start, yesterday, with the police attacking the crowd as soon as people begung to gather.

Police has also entered the BDP main office in the city. BDP chair Nimet Aþut and councillor Mustafa Gören have been taken into custody with other 63 people.

Today to protest against yesterday's brutal repression shops in Cizre are closed.
