Some shopkeepers closed up their shops in the district of Baðlar to protest against Prime Minister Erdoðan’s visit to Diyarbakýr on Saturday.

Intense security measures were taken in the city center before the arrival of Erdoðan who will attend the AKP Diyarbakýr Provincial Congress and attend some opening ceremonies in the city during the day.

All ways from the airport to the city center have been closed with police barricade and armed vehicles. Snipers were placed along Erdoðan’s route.
