Chris Hazzard, Sinn Féin MP for South Down, expressed his solidarity with the HDP and all the organizations whose members were detained on Tuesday. Hazzard said: "Turkish police have today detained more than 150 journalists, politicians, lawyers, and artists in repressive raids across various cities. But don’t expect to see this on the evening news as Turkey is a ‘key NATO ally’. Solidarity with the HDP and civil society groups being targeted."

On its part, the Spanish government party, Podemos, said: "A few days before the Turkish elections, Erdogan continues to use the powers at his disposal to increase the harassment of the HDP and make it difficult to hold free and transparent elections. It is urgent to stop this persecution and denounce these actions."

Likewise, the European Democratic Lawyers association (AED) expressed its solidarity with the OHD lawyer’s association after the arrest, on Tuesday, of at least 25 lawyers in Diyarbakir.
