A fire in Karaağaç village of Amed's Kulp district has left 6 children dead.

The fire broke out in the dormitory room of a Quran course in Karaağaç (Benin) village last night.

Nur Muhammed Bayko, Mehmet Bingöl, Sebahattin Altun, Serhat Sancar, Suat Çankaya and Şahin Kahraman lost their lives in the fire which was extinguished by fire squads that arrived the scene at 02:00 midnight.

It is reported that the fire erupted from an electric heater in the dormitory room.

Bodies of six children have been taken to various hospitals in Amed for a post-mortem examination.
