The auditorium of the Italian Switzerland University in the city of Lugano has hosted a conference to inform on the situation in Rojava since the Turkish attack on 9 October.

The meeting was also an opportunity to get a closer look at the political and social model implemented in Rojava. A model, was underlined at the conference, based on participated democracy, secular and inclusive as to identities and religions which are part of the Middle East mosaic. 

The title, "Rojava, a concrete utopia" well defined the development of the speeches. Franco Cavalli (president of the Ticino committee for the reconstruction of Kobane and a doctor himself) talked about the projects coordinated with the Autonomous Administration so far which unfortunately have been interrupted by the Turkish invasion.

The audience joined in the debate proposing and suggesting new actions of solidarity with Rojava to be carried out to counter the invasion.
