Solidarity with hunger strikers in Germany,Switzerland and France

Solidarity actions in support of hunger strikers, continue to be promoted all over Europe.

Actions were organised in Hildesheim in Germany, Papperswil in Switzerland and Creil in France to demand the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Hildesheim

In Hildesheim, Germany, a group of women on behalf of the Martyr Meryem Commune promoted a solidarity action with HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven.

Speaking at the action, activists underlined that “humanity is dying in Turkey, hear our voice, tomorrow may be too late.”

Women sent messages of solidarity to Leyla Güven.

Rapperswil

In Rapperswil, Switzerland, an action was organized to support hunger strikes.

The action was promoted by the Raperswil People's Commune in front of the Wetzikon Train Station.

Activists chanted slogans and handed out leaflets to inform people on the situation of Kurdish people’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and to demand his freedom.

Creil

A similar action was promoted in Creil, France.

Creil DTKM organised the action together with SKB and HDK women initiative.

Speaking at the demonstration, activists drew attention to the hunger strike carried out by political prisoners.

Together with Leyla Güven's photos, activists also carried the photos of Sakine Cansız, one of the founders of PKK murdered in Paris on January 9, 2013, together with Fidan Doğan, KNK Paris Representative and Leyla Şaylemez, a member of the Youth Movement.
