Starting points of the Long March in Germany announced

Kurdish and internationalist youth will stage a Long March in Germany between 15-20 September. The starting points of the action have been announced.

Preparations are underway for the ‘Long March’, which is organised every year to demand the physical freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. The route of the Long March this year is between the cities of Bielefeld and Duisburg in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW).

The Long March will start on 15 September with the slogan ‘Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, a Political Solution to the Kurdish Question’ with a panel on ‘Leader Öcalan and Youth’.

The activists will march in different cities every day between 16 September and 20 September in the state of NRW. Kurdish and internationalist youth will take to the streets in Bielefeld, Hamm, Dortmund, Essen and Duisburg for the physical freedom of Abdullah Öcalan.

In a new statement made by the Preparatory Committee, the starting points and times of the Long March action were announced.

Accordingly, the starting points and times of the action are as follows:

15 September - Gathering - Herbert Hinnendahl-Strasse 11, 33602 Bielefeld
15 September - Day 1 - Conference on the person and ideology of Abdullah Öcalan
16 September - Day 2 – Bielefeld HBF, Time: 08.00
17 September - Day 3 – Hamm HBF, Time: 09.00
18 September - Day 4 - Dortmund HBF, Time: 09.00
19 September - Day 5 - Essen HBF, Time: 09.00
20 September - Day 6 – Duisburg, Marxloh Pollman Tram Station (You can get there by tram 903 from the Duisburg HBF). Time: 09.00.
